Rene was another participant of the campaign and she had a wonderful time. Rene grew up poor and hungered for the things that she was not given. Rene put herself through cosmetology school and has been in the business for thirty-eight years. She is a mother of one and is a proud business owner. She has also had a short story published in Chicken Soup for the Soul. She and her husband have been married for thirty-eight years, and accomplished a lot for themselves. Rene’s story is truly a rags to riches Cinderella story.
